Have you ever
imagine to down the river use the inner tube of truck or bus? Lately in Jogja
these activity just became a trending tourism. We called it “tubing”. Tubing
more interesting and familiar after a grup of villager from gunungkidul open the
spesial interest tours called cave tubing. The use the underground river of Goa
Pindul as a track of Tubing. Besides, tourist will be offered another callenge
to down the river of Oya for around 3-5 km using this inner tube.
You can find many
articles about Goa Pindul using google. The creativity of villager make almost
80% of peoples around Pindul now have their job in the tourism aspect. You must
try this activity if some day visit Jogja... for just only 80 thousands rupiahs.
Here I will share
what I’ve done with some of friend to try another side of Oya river in the
downstream. The exact location was at Selopamioro Imogiri, around the coordinat
of -7.945, 110.426. Now in
this area has one tubing operator that provide the equiptment for this
activity.
The best time to enjoy river tubing in this area is on the end of rainy season. You can enjoy more beautiful scenery here than at Pindul cave tubing. The view more likely @ grand canyon. The river so wide, and on the each edge on our right and left... river field then the rock cliff of ancient volcano was the view point. The blue sky above us, some flying birds, and the silence of nature will make us so relax while our tube down with the streamside. Up the hill we can see some people that enjoy their tour at Mangunan Orchard. Just shout hello and wave our hand so they will reply wawing their hand from the distance approximately 1 km up.
